Periscope videos in your tweets

Periscope, the live streaming service owned by Twitter, will now broadcast videos direct on your tweets in your timeline.

That means users will be able to watch live videos and replays from Periscope via Twitter’s app. Therefore Periscope links will be replaced by videos incorporated in tweets.

The feature is currently only available on iOS but soon launched on Android and desktop.

Including Periscope on its own platform, Twitter aims to reach more users on its live streaming app. 10 million people use Periscope up to now.

The White House on Snapchat

Everyone wants to be on Snapchat, even The White House!

In order to target young people, which represent more than 60% of Snapchat users, The White House has launched this week its own account on the platform.

What we’ll see? A behind-the-scenes look at Barak Obama’s life, starting with the preparation of the 2016 State of the Union Address given by the U.S. president last Tuesday.

This arrival should help Snapchat reach a wider audience and be used in politics.

Midfielder Demyed Zeeuw scores the social post of the week

If one day you have 8 million followers on Instagram, keep in mind to delete your notifications.

Why?  The Dutch Midfielder Demyed Zeeuw has tested the experience filming his iPhone after sharing a photo on the platform.

An incredible video which created such a buzz on social media with more than 16,5 million views on Facebook in 2 days. Don’t do that at home!

Snapchat is coming to the Premier League

This week, Snapchat unveiled its first ever stories dedicated to Premier League fixtures: Newcastle United vs Manchester United on Tuesday, following by Liverpool FC vs Arsenal FC on Wednesday.

For 24 hours, as any other story, all Snapchat users were able to watch a collection of videos from ‘Snapchatters’ who were taking snaps of either game.

After winning over users in the U.S. thanks to its partnership with the NFL, these two stories announce Snapchat’s aim to provide more coverage of fixtures in the UK and Europe by using content from the users themselves.
