If there's one thing that the 2010 World Cup in South Africa will be remembered for it is the Vuvuzela. While the action on the pitch may not have reached the high standards we expected it to, the fans continued to make plenty of noise in the stands. No World Cup match was complete without the sound of a swarm of bees that is made by the Vuvuzelas and over the course of the tournament it's something we all got used to. They may have added to the atmosphere at the games but were they a detriment to viewers back home?

The second most-capped England international in the history of the game and the man who has saved England's bacon with his free-kicks many times over the years, David Beckham was cruely ruled out of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa after getting injured playing for Serie A team AC Milan. David Beckham was looking to play at his fourth consecutive World Cup but it wasn't to be for the former England captain.
