Paris Saint-Germain have secured a new shirt sponsor in French hotel group AccorHotels. Accor will pay PSG nearly €50m per year beating French Insurance company AXA and Chinese electronics company TCL.

The CEO of La Liga, Javier Tebas, has been identified as a potential successor to Richard Scudamore as the Premier League’s next CEO. Tebas, who has been in charge of La Liga since 2013 is held in high regard by the top flight Spanish league, who have been adamant of his commitment to his current position.

The gambling charity, GambleAware, have launched a new #BetRegret campaign aimed specifically at young people in the UK and focusing on the harms of betting online. The campaign is formed of three television adverts, the first of which will air at the Manchester United v Liverpool game on Sunday and features former footballer Danny Gabbidon.

The FIFA Confederations Cup has been scrapped after failing to catch global attention and will be replaced by Intra-continental play off’s. Despite apprehension from US Soccer president, Carlos Cordeiro over the future of the Gold Cup, Concacaf released a statement saying it was fully committed to the Gold Cup and that it will run in 2019, 2021 and 2023.
