After England’s impressive display in the World Cup in Russia, rumours that the FA would be bidding for the 2030 Fifa World Cup have been met with much anticipation. After failing to make it past the first round in the bidding war for the 2018 World Cup, this would be the first major tournament the FA has hosted since the UEFA European Championship in 1996.
The FA has confirmed work will start to see if a bid is feasible for England to host the 2030 World Cup.

Andy Murray came from two sets down to beat Marius Copil 6-7 (5-7) 6-3 7-6 (7-4) at the Washington Open in the early hours of this morning. This is the scots third tournament since his hip operation in January. With the match ending at an astonishing 3am local time, Murray has since commented on the difficulty of playing on Friday after such a gruelling match. His match against the Australian, de Minaur marks his first quarter-final since Wimbledon back in 2017.

The NBA announced a new $25 million partnership with the entertainment corporation MGM this week. The deal, which is the first of its kind, will mean that MGM become the first official gaming partner of the NBA and the WNBA. The collaboration will include a new digital content series as well as attempting to increase sports betting in the US.
