Snack Media bloggers featured on Piccadilly Circus Screen

Snack Media’s involvement in Samsung’s Because it Matters campaign has seen two of the company’s bloggers feature on Samsung’s big screen at Piccadilly Circus in central London.

The Because it Matters campaign focused on finding out what mattered about the beautiful game to football fans. Snack Media helped enable this by bringing our bloggers together to write about what matters to them in the world of football and share their thoughts with their captivated audience.

This culminated in the hosting of a live blog for the second Euro 2012 semi-final between Italy and Germany, an event in which more than a dozen of our bloggers were involved, commenting live on the action.

The interaction with supporters across the 90 minutes was extensive, as football fans across the globe were keen to have their say on the match and react to the comments and questions being posed by the bloggers.

This level of interaction was rewarded with the opportunity for some of the top-performing bloggers to be featured on Samsung’s big screen at Piccadilly Circus in the heart of London – namely Live4Liverpool.com writer Zarif Rasul and NothingButNewcastle.com editor Tom Jones.

Here are Zarif and Tom up in lights alongside a couple of their top Tweets from the night…

This is a great way to recognise the hard work that Snack Media and our football bloggers put in for the Because it Matters campaign for Samsung.
