Snack Media Launches Programme For Aspiring Football Writers To Showcase Opinion

Snack Media have opened the doors to two of their flagship websites for independent submissions, as they aim to provide a platform for those young aspiring football writers to showcase their opinion and views, throughout these uncertain times.

Despite domestic football being suspended until further notice, the thirst for football content has remained a constant for supporters around the world and Snack Media wanted to provide an avenue for up and coming writers to air their views about the beautiful game and introduce their writing talents to a brand new online audience.

Snack Media are also bringing an element of competition to the table, whereby monthly £50 gift cards are on offer for the best featured content produced – with the winner(s) decided by public vote – as well as an overall grand prize of £500, a ticket for the Football Content Awards at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and a full time writing role at Snack Media that would commence at the start of the 2020-21 season.

The decision to unlock the websites for general submissions was by Snack Media’s Head of Content, Martin Crawford, who believes that despite the lack of LIVE action for the foreseeable future, there remains an ever-increasing demand for good football content and old fashioned debate.

“With the lack of Premier League and EFL action to report on and the country in pretty much lock down – with the nation staying at home – we felt it would be great to give those young aspiring football writers a platform to vent their views and get their opinion heard by the masses.

Our football live stream service also aims to showcase not only the latest streams from official broadcasters but also importantly from fans of the clubs and grassroots.

“Football has the uncanny knack of bringing people and the nation together, so providing access to platforms for everyone to have their say and debate is so important during these times and hopefully it provides some with a little bit of respite during these uncertain times.”

If you’re interested in bringing your football views to the fore then you have two options available to you, depending on your preference.

For those of you wishing to contribute feature content about the Premier League, or World Football in general then follow the link here; however, those of you whose preference are all things around the EFL then follow the link here.

Should you have any questions or queries then don’t hesitate to get in contact with martin@snack-media.com for further details.
