The world of football media is changing rapidly. It is a vibrant place where journalists and bloggers, video creators, illustrators and podcasters co-exist and create a collage of content for fans to get a better feel for the game.
By its very nature this should be an inclusive space, too. After all, this is a game of opinions. And as we all know, everybody has one!
The thing is, we can make so much more sense of a game that we all love when we get the widest and most varied opinions. Diversity is key here: football is a global game voices from as many backgrounds as possible are necessary to form a fuller picture of what we’re watching on the pitch.
That’s why we at Snack Media are proud to work with the Football Writers’ Association to deliver April’s Speakers Event to encourage everyone – and in this case young women in particular – to follow a path in sports media during their careers.
We are excited to announce Vaishali Bhardwaj of the London Evening Standard as the first panellist for this event and watch this space for further panel announcements.
The Football Writers’ Association Speakers Event will take place on Tuesday April 9th at Sway in central London. Admission is free to all aspiring members of the sports media landscape but as places are limited by capacity, attendees MUST register below.
