SN&CK Media (Snack), the leading independent sports addressable audience business & content producer, has expanded their network of 300 sports websites by bringing Vital Football (Vital) into the group. The Vital co-founders will continue to grow the business with Niall Coen, CEO and co-founder of Snack Media, also joining their board.

Snack, whose owned and operated sports sites already reach over 26 million fans, has worked with Vital Football over the last three years. The move will now see Snack Media deliver their deep fan engagement, site monetisation and content solutions to Vital’s eight million visitors per year via full technology stack.

Vital Football, founded by Jonathan Fear and Andy Carson, is a prestigious network with over 13 years of football community heritage. It has individual sites for every football club from the Premier League, Football League and the Scottish Premier League. These sites boast high dwell times and fan loyalty.

Snack Media plan to redevelop the network with the help of the founders and bring long terms site partnerships to the business.

Niall Coen, Snack Media co-Founder & CEO, spoke about the strategic move, “This is a partnership with huge potential and a deal that will deliver value for Vital Football users and Snack Media brand partners. It’s incredibly exciting as this is another massive step for Snack Media as we move towards a leadership position in the UK website football market. We are well-established as content producers and fan engagement specialists and this just cements our position within this sector. We have always been proud to reach millions of sports fans, but to increase this number with the loyal eight million unique users Vital boasts highlights even greater potential for our clients and partners.

“This is a relationship which has been a long time in the making and I have no doubts of the benefits the Vital Network will get from our organisation and how much we look forward to them being part of the Snack Media Network.”

Jonathan Fear, Vital Football’s co-founder, said, “When Snack Media offered to partner with us it was an opportunity which was too good to let pass. Snack are well known for their foresight in this market, the quality of the content and the lengths they go to be innovative within the field of football fan engagement. There’s immense potential in the Snack/Vital partnership and it will take both our businesses to the next level. Vital’s user base will now be able to enjoy the additional resources Snack Media have at their disposal. ”
