It’s finally here the 2017 NFL season. The 98th in its history has kicked off and for the next five months, fans around the world will be tuning into their TVs, computers and mobile devices. More of those American Football fans than ever before will be from the UK. As the fan base continues to grow the NFL has decided to play four regular season games in London. These international series fixtures are being played at Wembley and Twickenham. Snack Media has been there every step of the way for the last half a decade and in the NFL we have found a strong partner.

Snack Media is entering its fifth year in partnership with the NFL, helping one of the biggest sporting organisations in the world monetise their UK traffic since 2013. In that time Snack Media has shown how adept it is at monetising UK and now Irish traffic for a premium partner through a number of different revenue streams and formats.

The NFL has a vast array of UK fans, whose interest and enthusiasm for the game has only grown over the last five years. Like the global digital audience, more users than ever are migrating their browsing habits from desktops and laptops to tablets and mobile phones. This sees American Football enthusiasts consuming their content across mobile, web and the two NFL mobile apps – the official NFL Mobile App and the Fantasy Football App, both available on iOS and Android.

Whether they’re on laptops or mobiles, fans crave the latest NFL news and, in particular, video highlights, with the time difference proving just a bit too much for some! Come Monday and Friday morning,  UK NFL fans in their thousands consume video highlights from the night before, with the amazing quality of coverage proving highly popular.

For the last four years, Snack Media has effectively monetised both written and video content. From premium deals with Turkish Airlines and Mercedes on desktop and video to first-class skin campaigns across desktop, tablet and mobile, we are always looking for new ways to monetise the site more efficiently and keep the premium nature at the fore.

As we look forward to another exciting season, it’s hard to see past the New England Patriots for the Super Bowl come February next year. Whichever of the 32 franchises lifts the Vince Lombardi Trophy in Minnesota, Snack Media is proud to work with the NFL and to have front row seats to watch the game grow here in the UK.
