UEFA Champions League matches will now be live streamed on Facebook. Through a deal with Fox Sport, 8 games will be streamed on their Facebook Page for an American audience. Football is growing in popularity in the US and the partnership will help grow awareness as well as grow the Facebook live platform.

Instagram is testing a new feature called ‘favourites’, this allows users to share posts with smaller groups of friends. The social networking platform has been following user’s actions and habits too closely understand what is in demand from consumers. Over the past few months, Instagram has recognised the need to give users more control over their audience and who gets to see each post. To show Instagram are listening and to continue developing their product, the new feature will allow users to share posts into private groups which only certain added friends can see, adding a more private element to the platform.

UpTime, YouTube’s app is now available for download to everyone on IOS. The app allows users to watch videos with their friends, instead of sharing links via social media platforms. YouTube hopes that through this introduction, users will spend more time watching video content, boosting audience numbers on filmed content.
