Gone are the days of five Instagram posts in a row. With its most recent Android update, Instagram is debuting albums. Up to ten photos can be selected, filtered and posted as one swipe-through album. The feature is currently in a test stage with Instagram working out the kinks before it debuts and advertises the feature to the whole world.

Facebook has just started rolling out a Discover People feature. Discover People suggests people with similar interests using the information available on your profile. Think “People You May Know”, but bigger.

This week, Twitter’s VP of engineering announced that the platform will tackle its harassment problem. The mute/block feature will get a much-needed update and measures will be put in place to stop repeat offenders from creating accounts. This news was greeted warmly after years-long criticism of Twitter’s lax attitude towards harassment.

Snapchat’s parent company Snap Inc. has just released its IPO filing, revealing new details about the social network. While ownership percentages were finally revealed, the more important information was about growth. It turns out Instagram Stories did have a big effect.
