Facebook will be introducing 360 technology to their live video option in 2017. This technology will allow viewers to immerse themselves fully into the scene, letting them explore independently whilst experiencing a new environment. The most tweeted moment of the year 2016 was released this week, with England’s shock defeat against Iceland in the Euro 2016 tournament coming out as number one. The UEFA European Championship game, generated 2.1 million tweets from 585,000 unique users.

Instagram introduced live streaming his week. This feature will allow users to broadcast live, but not save their content. Instagram live has been released in the United States this week, and will be introduced globally over the next couple of weeks.

Snapchat released a group chat feature this week, providing users with a simple way to speak to up to 16 friends at once. You can communicate whilst in the chat through either snaps or using chat. All snaps sent to the group will be deleted after 24 hours, to cover any privacy concerns.
