Snapchat Memories saves your favourite moments
To rival with Facebook Moments, you can now post old content to your Snapchat Story with a new feature called Memories. It creates a smart camera roll alternative in Snapchat where you can import existing Snaps, search by caption, create a Story from them and share clips again. You can also now shoot a photo or video and share it later. This feature “fundamentally shifts Snapchat to encompass the past rather than only being about the present”. Snapchat Memories will be available worldwide in a month.
Translation feature on Facebook
With Instagram declaring the addition of a translation feature two weeks ago, it is now essential that language not be a barrier on social media. So, Facebook arrives with a new feature that lets you translate anything you write into any language you want. It is a huge addition for businesses because they can easily target their customers with the right language without facing any issues: Facebook will automatically identify which is the best language for you to see a post in.

Facebook redesigns its “Like” button
Facebook is now redesigning the actual ‘Like’ button with a cleaner design. But it’s the button you see on other sites across the web when you want to share any content to your friends. Facebook is changing it from a little Facebook ‘F’ to a thumbs up. In a blog post, Facebook gives the reason why they’ve changed the design: “more people would understand the thumbs up icon on the Like button, so we conducted qualitative and quantitative tests to measure them side-by-side. The results revealed an increase in engagement”.
Furthermore, they’re making it easier for people to share and save content with a new Chrome extension: Share to Facebook and Save to Facebook.
New customer service features on Twitter
Twitter is testing a new feature that should help users get faster customer support from brands and businesses they follow on the platform. It is now indicating when accounts are the most responsive. It is similar to the Facebook feature telling users the responsiveness of a page. Twitter is also trying a new ‘Featured Tweets’ tab that seems to display tweets curated by the account owner.
