Search products with your camera on Pinterest

Pinterest is rolling out a new visual search feature called automatic object detection. It is a new way to search within a Pin to find products. You can now tap a visual search icon on the top right corner of the Pin and it will give you all the searchable items with dots. You can then explore the dots to look for similar Pins. This addition is a huge step forward for the app to attract more users and simplify the way to use it. Another feature Pinterest has added is a new filtering option to find popular products, sale items and shipping deals from your favourite brands.

Twitter launches Stickers

Twitter is introducing a new way for users to make images more exciting and creative with a new feature: Stickers. You can now search the sets of stickers and select from a library of hundreds of accessories, emoji, and props to join in on real-time conversations, and to make your photos more fun. You can do whatever you want with stickers: add more, replace, rotate, resize, etc. This feature is already appreciated by users and lots of them are enjoying it.

Twitter Dashboard for small businesses

Twitter has been very active this month with lots of interesting and useful features. Twitter is now trying to help businesses connect with their customers with a new addition on desktop and iOS: Twitter Dashboard. “Dashboard offers a single destination to get things done. It gives business owners a clear picture of what’s being said about their businesses, lets them schedule Tweets, and offers insights about their Tweet performance.” You can easily engage with your audience, tweet whenever you want and get tweet ideas and inspiration to start conversations with your customers.

Facebook Slideshow livens up your photos and videos

Facebook launched this week a new update only available on iOS: Slideshows. Facebook will pre-make a video for you from the photos you’ve taken during the day to pop it up to the top of your News Feed. You can then customize the clip to your liking with background music, various overlays and 10 different themes called “Inspired, Nostalgic, Playful, Night Out, Birthday, Epic, Thankful, Tropical, Bollywood, and Amped.” This update is useful for people spending time on other apps to create slideshows.
