3D selfies on Snapchat?
According to TechCrunch, Snapchat has secretly acquired Seene for a low price a few months ago, a photo-based 3D capture software that allows you to record 3D objects in real-time using an iPhone camera. It could open new opportunities for Snapchat like future virtual reality projects for brands, or users taking 3D selfies. You can watch in the video below how the 3D photo app maker works.
Share without opening Instagram
With the new Instagram update on iOS, it is now possible to share photos and videos directly to Instagram without having to first launch the app thanks to an iOS extension. It lets you share photos and videos from Photos and other iOS apps directly to Instagram. You can also write a caption to supplement the media, but if you want to modify your photo with filters and other editing features, you still need to launch Instagram.

Snapchat’s update for Discover
So far, the reaction towards Discover has been a bit mixed and it needed a refreshing design to make it easier to access.
Snapchat launched a new update on the Discover channels section of the app with more visuals to improve users’ experience, boost the feature and attract more clicks on publishers’ content. This move will help publishers to get more readers which is important for them and Snapchat.

360-degree photos on Facebook
Yesterday, Facebook announced that 360-degree photo publishing is now available to make the experience on the app even more immersive. You can capture everything happening around you and after the photo is posted, the viewer can explore the scene as you were by moving the phone or touching the screen. But it gets better, people with virtual reality headsets like Oculus Rift or Samsung’s Gear VR can use these with this feature.
