Comment moderation on Periscope
Periscope has released a comment moderation feature on iOS and Android. As the live-streaming app became more popular over the last few months, Periscope is now facing new challenges as there is no filter on the app and questionable and offensive content can be posted. It can lead to issues like the girl who broadcasted her suicide in France or abuse. So, Periscope has implemented a comment moderation system where users can report a comment as spam or abuse and randomly selected viewers can have their view by voting if the comment is OK or needs to be deleted.

Facebook’s introducing topic-specific news feeds
This week, Facebook has announced a new feature that allows users to be able to see specific stories on a separate stream.
The current changes are still in testing phases but are already available in Australia. You will have a default list based on the content you are interested in and that you interact with most but users will be able to add and customise topic feeds easily.
Facebook has already released features to help customise your news feed, such as “See First” last year to choose which friends’ posts appear in your timeline.
Facebook’s real time comment feature
According to Tech Insider reports, Facebook have started to let some users see who of their friends are commenting on their posts in real time with chat bubbles. It is a small improvement for Facebook’s users to make their experience on the social media platform even better.
Facebook have been testing this feature for a while. They confirmed the information to Tech Insider: “We’ve heard from people that they want their experience on Facebook to reflect the real time conversations they have.”
