Yesterday was the big day of the 88th Oscars ceremony in Hollywood honouring the best films of 2015. This year, the event will surely be remembered for Leornado DiCaprio’s win as Best Actor (FINALLY!). Reactions on social media and especially on Twitter flooded in their hundreds of thousands. Indeed, DiCaprio’s win generated more than 440,000 tweets per minute, the most-tweeted minute in Oscars history, beating the previous record of 255,000 tweets per minute set by Ellen Degeneres for this star studded selfie.

If you didn’t stay up to see DiCaprio’s win and missed all the fallout on Twitter, check out the best reactions below.

Reaching a new level on Xbox or on League of Legends: some brands paid tribute to DiCaprio in a pretty cool way.

The media and content creators didn’t forget to share their joy either.

Leonardo’s win was also marked by a collection of crazy content, starting with one the of most retweeted tweets of the evening sent out by the Viner Paul Logan and now already a cult video.
