#DeadlineDay – Twitter follows the frenzy

Adrien Danjou - 2nd February 2016 - 0 comments

Once again, Deadline Day didn’t disappoint on Twitter being a top trend and bringing football fans, clubs and journalists all together in the same frenzy.

Knowing as quickly as possible the next deal, publishing rumours, or simply surfing for brand content – #DeadlineDay brightened up our timeline yesterday.

Take a look below at the greatest social content from throughout the day.

Medias got ready

Between the rumours and breaking news, social acounts and websites must cover the whole day until the last second. Followed by thousands of fans, everyone knows that this day is the perfect time to share the best of their social content.

However, in order to this, all of them need just one thing, something to comment on!

Patience. This is definitely the key to following Deadline Day…

… until finally… News!

Apparently, Burger King and Tesco joined the business game, both doing the deal of the day.

Reporting is definitely not an easy job during Deadline Day.

Twitter users don’t miss anything that happens on Sky Sports News. After THAT incident a few years ago, this year it’s Vinny O’Connor who was the victim of the platform. His cameraman will most certainly be more careful the next time.

The airports didn’t miss a trick either.

Heathrow Airport certainly scores the tweet of the day with these Chelsea fans.

Clubs don’t shy away from getting involved as well

Apparently  Deadline Day is not going well at Yeovil Town FC while Accrington Stanley stadium is strangely empty.
