A typically cheeky tweet from Super Mario, #EnjoyTheBeers and a French wonderkid that has never quite made it count… Catch up with all this and more in our Weekend Wrap-Up!
Phil Jones roughs it in the away end
In a nice antidote to the celebrity culture that sometimes surrounds footballers in their gated mansions and tinted Range Rovers, Phil Jones made a surprise appearance amongst the fans to watch his teammates take on Liverpool at the weekend.
He may not have always had the best of it on the pitch, but he was spotted having the time of his life in the away end at Anfield.
And the fans themselves got right behind his man-of-the-people move, taking to Twitter to show their appreciation.

Balotelli weighs in on Liverpool v Man Utd
When Mario decides to pop up on Twitter, chances are it’s going to be controversial. And his latest post certainly was: so much so that it received over 20,000 retweets.
The mercurial striker didn’t stay Liverpool very long on Merseyside, but clearly ample time to become fully aware of the rivalry with Man Utd…
Good Luck to my ex team mates.. Come on Liverpool destroy them today👊🏾

Meanwhile in Ligue 1…
Hatem Ben Arfa danced around four players and showed once again why he’s perhaps the greatest player that never quite was.

Tennis is back!
The Australian Open has now rolled back around, with Federer donning his impossibly pristine kit for what is now his 17th outing down under.
This transformation of a baby-faced Roger into the icon he is today was a great trip down memory lane.
This could be one of the last times the Swiss glides around the baseline, so let’s enjoy that backhand while we can!

England smash South Africa in the 3rd Test
Stuart Broad became the first England bowler to be ranked no.1 in the world in more than a decade. Joe Root smacked a century off 126 balls. And Ben Stokes produces an extraordinary innings of 258 from 198 balls. All round, a pretty special Test for England.
Ian Bell sent out a congratulatory #EnjoyTheBeers…
Great win @englandcricket!!! Broady was top drawer! #EnjoyTheBeers
