On February 22nd, the 87th academy awards recognised and awarded the best films of 2014. Twitter erupted with the hashtag #Oscars. Although it blew up on social media, only 11.2% of tweets with the #Oscar hashtag were about movies.

Facebook has recently announced that they have reached 2,000,000 advertisers after a successful 2014 campaign. In order to comply and assist these companies advertising through Facebook, the company has launched a phone app for advertisers to manage their ads via there smart phone.

In a recent marketing campaign, Facebook has created 3 commercials that have been released exclusively in the United Kingdom. These commercials feature the relation to Facebook and its impact on real life.

Twitter has announced that will it host a European Job fair that will bring together over 50 UK corporations. The fair will give those looking for employment or work experience an opportunity to network and enhance their careers.

Instagram is on track to record an astounding 5.8 billion in revenue in 2020 according to analysts. Zuckerberg’s aquisition seems smarter every day as the 1 billion dollar purchase is only gaining in value. With an evaluation so high, Instagram is not going anywhere and the social media outlet will continue to gain popularity and users.
