Yes, it’s a thing. Social media has been swept up in #ChocolateWeek, and like every other hashtag we seem to stumble upon nowadays, people have been using it in force to celebrate their favourite guilty pleasure.

From a chocolate-themed hashtag emoji, to our favourite TV-moments that included this creamy delight. Chocolate is everywhere as people ditched the light summer salads for this carb-heavy wonder.

Here are a selection of the best social media posts surrounding national chocolate week:

Like many, people were surprised that this was indeed ‘a thing.’

The BBC reminded us of a dream that we’ve all had. Dive-bombing a chocolate fountain, as exemplified by the hilarious Dawn French:

With everything in today’s world, there was always someone to spoil the party. The PDSA reminded us of the dangers should your dog find your hidden stash:

Chocolate conglomerate Cadbury stole the show. Their wondrous displays led many to share their creative side, using chocolate as the main tool:

Fairtrade reminded us of the hard work that goes into providing us with our favourite treats. It’s easy to assume that those 6million farmers will never be out of work!

Sainsbury’s asked that impossible question. Milk, dark or white? They pulled out all the stops to show us what they think:

And finally, Audi provided the most impractical (but utterly delicious), invention of #ChocolateWeek by covering their famous TT entirely in chocolate. Not sure if I’m delighted or disappointed that it’ll get all sticky..
