How one football club are trying to produce the next generation of fans

Many sporting partners are finding a number of  way to get fans at a stadium excited.

In order to improve the fan experience in its stadium, Getafe C.F. (La Liga) created, in partnership with an advertising agency, an unexpected app: Getafinder

You know Tinder? The process is the same. All Getafe fans can use this app in and around the stadium in order to meet someone. Like Tinder you scroll through profiles and try to find your perfect partner who is also in the stadium.

Getafe plays in the top division in Spain but struggles with a small fan-base with Madrid also being home to world-class teams Real Madrid & Atletico Madrid. The aim of the app then? To help Getafe fans produce the next generation of fans.

For the game and the players we hope Getafe fans will still be focused on the football match and not on matching…
