Twitter is launching a new calendar of major live events which will allow brands to react in real-time…ahead of time.

Facebook is now letting users restrict who views their videos based on age and gender. Will this change the content we see coming through our newsfeed?

London Fire Brigade made a slight faux pas this week when reacting on Twitter to an incident they attended in Shoreditch. After receiving a backlash from their followers, the account apologised for being insensitive:

YouTube had already started doing 360 degree videos (see here) – now they are launching 360 degree ads available on Android, iOS and Chrome. Will this increase popularity in advertising on the platform?

We have all jumped on the emoji bandwagon recently so what better way to celebrate this than to have #WorldEmojiDay (there was even a webpage). The hashtag generated 271,000 mentions and brands did not miss a trick:
