Europcar Offer Arsenal Fans Chance of a Lifetime

Every football fan has had that dream: You’re sprinting down the pitch at your favorite team’s stadium, 60,000 seats surrounding you, calling for the ball in front of the goal.

Out of the corner of your eye, you see the goalkeeper crouch, ready. Just outside the box now — a pass, right to you. You beautifully juke around the defender, wind up and hammer a shot up into the corner netting. Glory is yours!

To most people, the above scenario is just that: a dream. But on May 27th, Official Car and Van Rental Partner Europcar offered Arsenal fans the chance to turn that dream into a reality by competing in a five-a-side tournament at Emirates Stadium.

Snack Media worked with Europcar throughout the 2014/2015 Premier League season and the inaugural Europcar Cup was one of the highlights of their work together. The cup featured four randomly selected fan teams, picked from over 200 fan entries to a social media competition launched from @EuropcarSport. Europcar provided door-to-door chauffeur service to bring the four winners and their teams to North London.

The four fan teams competed against a side from Arsenal’s Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire Supporters Club, a team of bloggers, another comprising of travel and sports journalists and another made up of Europcar’s suppliers.

After a day of memorable football action, the Supporters Club claimed the Europcar Cup, with fan team “Wizard of Ozil” taking home the Europcar Plate. All the teams ate lunch in Arsenal’s Diamond Club, where the winners received their trophies from none other than Gunners legend Ray Parlour.
