Twitter opens Hong Kong office…despite being banned in China
Twitter have opened a new office in Hong Kong with the hope of growing further through advertising revenue instead of their microblogging services. This is due to the microblogging site currently being banned in the country.

Penguin Books Mother’s Day campaign was driven by the hashtag #YourMum, which, unsurprisingly, the world of social media got behind – not in the most positive manner. Meerkat, the new app which allows you to tweet live videos, has experienced a huge increase in popularity, with Hollywood stars such as Jared Leto getting in on the act. In its first week of going live, it was the most mentioned hashtag on Twitter (via Topsy) with 15’000 mentions.
