Keyboard warriors remain at large

The appeal of hiding behind a keyboard is all too much for some people with Twitter revealing it now has to deal with five times as many reports of abuse than it did six months ago.

Don’t worry, though, they’re tackling the problem by rolling out new procedures to deal with those who step over the mark.

Instagram launches ‘Carousel’ ads

The photo-sharing platform has transformed the way adverts are displayed on the app, with brands now able to produce multi-page print campaigns. A simple swipe will allow users to scroll through various slides increasing interaction and the amount of information displayed.

Ello launches Not-So-For-Work (NSFW) month

Ello, an invite-only social media platform that prides itself on no adverts, has launched Not-Safe-For-Work, a campaign where, for a month, users will be able to express themselves without fears of censorship.

Paul Budnitz, the founder of Ello, said: “I don’t believe that we can ban some stuff without harming freedom of speech with everybody. I don’t think that’s possible

“So that’s what this month is really about.”

Tinder launches ‘rewind’ swipe

Ever been a bit swipe happy on Tinder and regretted letting the love of your life swipe by? Well, Tinder has now made it easier for you to fall in love by allowing users to ‘rewind’ their last swipe.

The only catch is you’ve got to pay for the service – can you put a price on love?

Animated pins on Pinterest

Pinterest is to test animated ‘pins’ as a way for brands to draw a higher engagement rate from their adverts – they pins will automatically play when users scroll past them.
